Horizontal CNC Machining Centers
At the heart of Barth Industries’ precision manufacturing capabilities, an assembly of advanced, horizontal CNC machining centers form the backbone of our high-volume production operation. The twin pallet systems enable continuous machining while maintaining tight tolerances, allowing us to efficiently process cast iron components up to 4,400 pounds with automatic tool changers that minimize setup time.
In the hands of our experienced team members, we leverage these machines, known for their ability to maintain tight tolerances, to excel at simultaneous multi-side machining of complex geometries. CNC machining helps us deliver the precision and efficiency that distinguishes our approach to manufacturing components that meet exacting specifications yet supply rugged durability, for the heavy industrial and transportation market sectors.

Vertical CNC Machining Centers
Our vertical CNC machining centers provide versatile precision machining capabilities for smaller cast iron and steel components that require exceptional accuracy and surface finish. These machines complement our horizontal centers by handling parts that benefit from vertical orientation during machining, with thru-tool coolant systems to help create optimal conditions to manufacture cast iron parts. The combination of twin and single pallet configurations allows us to flexibility for our production scheduling, while maintaining tight tolerances that contribute to the reputation we have built for precision parts.

Lathe CNC
Barth’s CNC lathe equipment delivers precision turning capabilities essential for cylindrical cast iron components and complex rotational parts. The vertical turning machines excel at machining large-diameter workpieces with superior rigidity, while our horizontal lathes provide the flexibility needed for longer shafts and cylindrical components.

Inspection Systems
Our dedicated quality control room houses advanced inspection systems that verify dimensional accuracy to the highest standards. Our laser tracker and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) provide comprehensive measurement capabilities for precision components and large industrial castings. These systems ensure that every cast iron part meets the tight tolerances required by our transportation and heavy machinery customers.

Welding Equipment
Team members certified in welding operate our multiple MIG, TIG and arc welding systems that deliver consistent, high-quality welds on cast iron and steel materials, supporting both production needs and tooling fabrication. Proper welding is critical for structural integrity and extends component life, enabling Barth to fabricate complete weldments and assemblies from multiple cast iron components rather than just individual machined parts.
